**Hemp is actually a weed, and it grows like one, so it needs no synthetic herbicides or pesticides to grow and less water than other fibre producing plants. This means that items made from hemp are environmentally responsible and sustainable, keeping you and the Earth happy and healthy.
Hemp is one of only 6 genus of plants which enrich the soil it grows in, as a fabric it is antibacterial, breathable, versatile, strong & durable, in fact hemp improves with age. Recyclable & made to last, it is the oldest known fabric ever to be found.
**Lyocell fibre is produced with a ‘closed loop’ manufacturing process, with minimal impact on the environment and economical use of energy and water. The solvent used in the process is toxic but 99% is recovered and continually recycled. Lyocell is a natural, man-made fibre which is fully biodegradable.
**HappyHide is an amazing paper-based material, which has been combined with latex to produce a durable, versatile and washable paper. It is an environmentally friendly and sustainable material, and accredited by both the FSC and Oeko-Tex. Widely recognised as a vegan friendly material it is a viable alternative to many leather-based products.
In the spirit of making this a truly ecological purchase this item will be dispatched #plasticfree – in robust, recyclable paper packaging.
